This week’s messy debate might lead to canceling the rest

Tuesday’s debate left America shocked. The two candidates argued back and forth for 90 minutes straight. They talked over one another, used personal attacks and dodged questions.

“That was a hot mess, inside a dumpster fire, inside a trainwreck,” said CNN reporter Jake Tapper.

The debate covered The Supreme Court, race and violence, the economy, COVID-19 virus, the integrity of the election and both candidate’s records. However, no clear plans or answers came from discussing such topics. Instead, it only muddied the water.

Now political advisors warn against having another debate in two weeks.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the last presidential debate between the president of the United States and the former vice president of the United States,” said CNN’s Wolf Blitzer. “We shall see. Fairly soon. Joe Biden clearly showed up today. He went head to head with the president of the United States, who was often put on the defensive interrupting the vice president repeatedly.”

These debates could end up hurting the election, bringing out the worst in each candidate. Donald Trump will say anything to defend himself and trash Biden. Meanwhile, Biden can barely put together a sentence without being interrupted. It’s only a matter of time before Biden snaps at Trump’s constant nagging.

“One can only imagine what he may or may not say at the debate. At this point, all it would really take for Trump to win is just to gently troll Biden to get him to say or do something insane and Trump can simply avoid all political talk or even planning, but just focus on antagonizing Biden, because, in the political reality show, that will get more attention than trying to explain his massive failures, plus will also have a better chance of securing him votes. This is most likely why Trump has said he is not preparing because even if he is going to do this, there is a likely chance the debate will NOT be about issues, but an entertainment festival exploiting Biden’s decline for his benefit.” Blitzer said.

It is unclear what will happen next on this rocky election road especially now that Trump has contracted the COVID-19 virus. But, next week running-mates Mike Pence and Kamala Harris are set to debate on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
