Being the pilot of the United States Bobsled Team is a big responsibility, but Frank Del Duca is more than prepared for this critical position. Despite it being his first Olympic games, Del Duca has thousands of hours of experience with the bobsled under his belt. With the push of friends, Del Duca attended a physical tryout camp in 2015 for the bobsled and quickly captured one of the team’s top spots.

“Bobsled piqued my interest a few years ago, and when the opportunity to tryout presented itself, I had to pursue it,” Del Duca said.

Before the course, Del Duca graduated from the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree of science in Kinesiology and Physical Education. After school, Del Duca played football, as a kicker for the Southern Marine Raging Bulls. With all his past experience, Del Duca is thrilled to be making his grand Olympic debut in the Beijing 2022 Olympics.
