Central York Panthers Wrestling(10-4) made it to the PIAA District III playoffs this year after successful individual efforts by senior Macon Myers and junior Eli Long. Though the Panthers fell to Wilson in the team effort, Myers and Long enjoyed successful ventures to the individual state tournament.

Myers, a Bloomsburg Commit, placed fourth in the 160 pound weight class, earning him a spot on the podium among Pennsylvania’s best wrestlers.

“I didn’t want to end my career with a loss but I’m ecstatic that I finally placed,” Myers said. “At the end of the day, placing at states is an accomplishment not many people have.”

Myers finished his senior season with a record of 40-5 and earned over 100 victories in his career. Long also made it to the podium at the Giant Center in Hershey, coming in seventh in his respective weight class.
