Boys volleyball team reaches semifinals in Bobcat tournament

The Central York Boys volleyball team competed in the Northeastern Bobcat Invitational Saturday, April 1, 2023. The team was led by three seniors Devon Marsh, Mason Boyer and Donovan Burris who provided fans with lots of highlight plays and clutch points. 

Before falling to Emmaus in the semifinal round, the team showed promising wins against Dallastown, Central Dauphin, Cochrantonand more. After going 4-0 in pool play and advancing to the gold bracket the squad gained lots of confidence and optimalism for the regular season ahead. 

“We played very well, I think that we play better whenever we’re against tougher teams,” said Burris. 

Emmaus ended up hoisting the trophy at the end of the night after sweeping Cumberland Valley in the championship. Central hopes to have another shot at them come playoff time.
