Tracking the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election

As we start to move toward the fall, the country draws closer and closer to the 2020 presidential election. As early as September, citizens in states can fill out early voting ballots. This is the schedule for those states.

The first presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden is set to take place on Tuesday, Sept. 29. It will be held at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Oh and is to be moderated by Chris Wallace of Fox News.

The debate topics will include the candidates’ records, the supreme court, the coronavirus pandemic, race and violence in cities, election integrity and the economy.

The first presidential debate between Trump and Biden may just be their last. The debate went largely off-script and featured President Trump frequently interrupting a sputtering Joe Biden. Chris Wallace frequently had to shout over the two to try and regain control of the debate. Now the future of the 2020 debates is in question with Trump contracting COVID-19 and the disaster that the first debate proved to be.

Vice President Mike Pence and Sen. Kamala Harris are still on for their vice presidential debate on Wed. Oct 7 at Kingsbury Hall, Salt Lake City, Utah.
