Central ran their offense through Goff with the run against Red Lion having 181 yards and three touchdowns. His success is Central’s success this year. Central has been playing very well with a record of 8-1. Goff has been putting up such good numbers he has received three D1 offers, the highest in collegiate sports.

He has received an offer from Boston College, Old Dominion (Virgina) and recently received an offer from Duke, a university in North Carolina.

“The two of those schools have definitely been giving me a good impression. I’ve already visited Old Dominion. Amazing campus and area” Said Goff.

Goff’s achievement is rare, making it D1. Only 2.8% of high school football athletes make it to Division 1. According to GMTM, a high school football database.

Teammate Parker Hines sees Goff’s impact daily on the field.

“He opens up the field because of his ability to break long runs. With them loading the box because of the run it makes it easier to pass” said Hines.

Goff does open up the field averaging over 10 yards a carry breaking free with many long runs.

Goff plans on attending a 4 year college with dreams of going pro.

Only 2% of the nearly 3% of players that play D1, make it to the pros. Goffs strength and speed makes him such a weapon on the field.

Central has their last game against William Penn before moving onto districts after. Central is first in their conference which should set them up for home field advantage and an easy district game.
