Nathan Chen (22), born in Salt Lake City, Utah, has been excellent on the international level after placing fifth in the 2018 Olympics. He has won three consecutive world championships, and became the first U.S. man to three-peat since Scott Hamilton in the early 1980s.

In addition to men’s figure skating, Chen is a student at Yale where he is majoring in statistics and data science. He put his schooling aside to train for the Beijing Games but is likely to return to campus later this year with hopefully an Olympic medal.
