The National Football League (NFL) Pro Bowl took place Feb. 5, 2023, in Las Vegas. The two teams split the first 2 games of a newly implemented flag football format, but the (National Football Conference) NFC snapped their 5 year skid against the (American Football Conference) AFC, with a score of 35-33 in the 3rd game. Led by Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins and San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle connecting on the game-winning touchdown late in the game.

This year’s Pro Bowl had a change that was different from previous years. Instead of it being a contact football game with the pads and helmets, it was a series of flag football games, first to win two. Prior days leading up to the pro bowl, 10 mini competitions were held. The conferences competed against each other  in dodgeball, lighting round, longest drive, precision passing, best catch, best catch finale, gridiron gauntlet, kick tac toe and move the chains.

“It definitely gets the players more excited and less stressed about actually having to work,” said Detroit Lions center Frank Ragnow on the new Pro Bowl format.
